• Google released new guidelines for Google Business Profile posts: no more duplicate photos, videos, or posts. They also suggested you stop overlaying a logo on the images you upload
• If your Google Business posts are being rejected, this might be a reason why. You may need to update your posting strategy to be compliant with these new guidelines
• Yelp says "stop asking for Yelp reviews!" This policy has long baffled me, but we'll explore Yelp's reasoning in today's video.
• I'll also recommend what carpet cleaners should do to avoid getting all of their reviews hidden in the dreaded "not recommended by Yelp" section of your profile (where Yelp reviews go to die)
• We'll talk about form spam from companies trying to sell you SEO services, and why you should probably just delete those emails ;)

- Why do carpet cleaners need to verify a Google Business Profile? I'll show you exactly how Google Business Profile can help your carpet cleaning business book more jobs from eager homeowners in your local area

- WARNING Google is experiencing delays with postcard verification. If you request a verification code for your Google Business Profile by postcard, be aware that it may take weeks to arrive. Or it may not arrive at all!

- If possible try to verify your GBP by video. I've heard of carpet cleaners getting verified same day with a video call! This is a big advantage if you need to book jobs now...

- Watch for increasing amounts of spam on your GBP profile: spam messages offering to sell you fake 5-star reviews are most common

- Watch for fake reviews on your profile. Flag these and Google may consider removing them if they don't meet community standards
